If you answered yes to that question you will need somebody like us to do the transfer for you and fill out the right forms.
Our fee for this is $75 per NFA item.
Basically you find what you want or call me to find it and we will get it sent to us from the seller on a form 3. This usually takes about 18-30 days for us to receive it.
Then you come in and fill out two identical form 4's, fill out two fingerprint cards, take the form to your sheriff for signing, get two photographs and we will mail it to BATF. with your $200 for the tax stamp.
The forms take about 3-4 months to process and return your tax stamp to me and then we do a regular transfer into your name on a standard 4473.
* If you think your chief law enforcement officer will have problems signing your application then there are ways around it. You can get a trust made from your lawyer or I have a lawyer that will do it for $275. With a trust you do not need anything except the trust and the form 4. No need for fingerprints, photos, or the chief law enforcement signature. Once you pay for a trust you will get instructions from the lawyer on how to add more items to your trust with no more fees except the $200 tax stamp on the new item being added.
