NIB Rare Browning Citori 5-Gun Set "Q.U. Game Bird Series" $11,999
• All 5 guns are NIB and have never been fired.
• All 5 guns are Grade III Browning Citori's.
• All 5 were made in Japan.
• Guns were issued 100 per year for 5 years from 1997 to 2001. Each of these guns is number #75 (just like the Bird Dog Series were each #75 of 100.
• There is one 12 gauge; two 20 gauges; one .410; and one 28 gauge. [These gauges should be consistent with the Upland Game birds depicted in the series...e.g. 12 gauge for Pheasant, etc).
• 1997...a 20 gauge with 24" barrels; 2.75" chamber; choke: Plus with both upper and lower barrels being Invector.
• 1998...a 28 gauge with 24" barrels; 2.75" chamber; Invector choke with upper barrel being a Full and lower barrel being a Modified.
• 1999...a 12 gauge with 24" B.B. barrels; 2.75" chamber; Invector choke with upper barrel being Full and lower barrel being Modified.
• 2000...a .410 with 24" barrels; 3" chamber; Invector choke with upper barrel being Full and Lower barrel being Modified.
• 2001...if I recall correctly, this gun is especially rare (that is the 100 guns in this year are rare) as they are a manufacturing mistake with barrels that are unusually long for the gauge. It is a 20 gauge with 26" B.B. barrels; 3" chamber; Invector choke with upper barrel being Full and lower barrel being modified.
1) 4 guns - that is 1997 to 2000, have "schnable" forearms. The 5th & last gun of 2001 is a regular forearm.
2) 4 guns - that is 1997 to 2000, have straight English-style stocks, while the gun of 2001 has a "round knob" stock.
3) The 1st gun from 1997 has oil rubbed furniture; the 4 succeeding guns all have high gloss furniture.
4) The last gun (2001) is the summary gun that includes all 4 Upland Gamebirds depicted on the previous 4 guns. This gun's receiver is also not blue like the prior 4 guns but rather a satin grey. It also have 26" barrels compared to 24" barrels for the other 4 guns.
5) Just so there is no confusion, guns from 1998, 99 & 2000 have what appears to be a little bit of stock/furniture polish on the black butt plate. These guns came this way from Browning from their original factory cleaning, and I never bothered to clean this off. This should be pretty easy to remove though.
